Live Well with Arthritis
Arthritis is usually considered to be an old person’s disease: something our parents or grandparents just had to learn to live with and something we, in time, would have to deal with ourselves. In truth, the average age of diagnosis is 35 . Intense, severe pain and joint inflammation lead to immobility, depression, fatigue, weight issues, social isolation, and unemployment, while certain medications lead to reduced fertility.
One in six people in Ireland suffers from arthritis and 30% of GP visits are arthritis related. 40,000 Irish people have rheumatoid arthritis, 70% of whom are women. Alarmingly, 1,000 children in Ireland suffer from arthritis.
An hour with nutritionist, Sinead Burns and osteopath, Paul Bodimeade
Nutritional therapy and osteopathy are known to alleviate aches, pains and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Both disciplines complement conventional medicine and offer no contra-indications. This talk will teach you why and how.
Take this opportunity to discover how you can increase your range of motion and comfortably live an active and fulfilled life through gentle osteopathic treatment. Employing the concept of biochemical individuality, learn to ‘let food be thy medicine, let medicine be thy food’.
